Delicious Yogurt Drink
Make Delicious Ayran in the US in 3 minutes!
I found that the yogurt in US doesn't make great Ayran (Turkish yogurt drink). So instead I use Labne Kefir Cheese or strained yogurt (the kind that looks like very thick yogurt - suzme yogurt).
1 cup of Labne or strained yogurt
4.5 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon salt
Put all this in the blender and first blend/liquify then whip for a total of about 1.5 minutes.
Serve on the rocks and/or cold. Make sure it's foamy.
Afiyet olsun (Bon appetit) !

PS2: Beware! Putting too much salt in your Ayran is known to raise blood pressure in patients with sensitive blood pressure. If you have this problem make sure to use a measuring spoon and do not put more salt than recommended. If your blood pressure lowers, drinking Ayran that is too salty may raise it to normal levels but it may also raise it too high with lethal risks. It seems doctors recommend drinking plenty of water or eating watermelons instead.
