Canned Salmon
Here is a recipe for a meat content on the cheaper side of the spectrum. Choose a wild salmon can, not farmed. Make sure the ingredients consist of nothing but salmon and water.
This also makes a fast recipe.
If your canned salmon has skin and bones, even though they're edible you may not be a big fan but if you have a couple of cats like me, they'll be begging for the skin and bones as you clean them out and will consider them a treat.
Don't throw the juice away though but mash your salmon inside the juice in a bowl using a fork.
Now the fun part, generously drizzle with extra olive oil, your favorite vinegar (raw coconut vinegar or raw apple cider vinegar) and sprinkle following spices:
paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, ground cardamom, sumac, fresh ground garlic flakes&salt crystals&black peppercorns, dry oregano.
Mix it all up with your fork.
Your salmon mix is ready and you can enjoy this with one or more of the following options:
(1) raw baby carrots
(2) your favorite salad such as this
(3) some good pickles (here is my fave: Bubbies kosher dill pickles) or home made recipes
(4) 1-2 sliced zucchinis cooked in a greasy pan on broil setting of oven, optionally with a peeled and sliced lemon, with s&p for about 15 minutes, toss the slices around mid-way.
